Subject: [TIICO] New header pipes

Hi Folks, Got a callback from PeterB this morning, only 1 day late. Busy boy. He has the header pipes in stock, verified which one was the right one, and is sending it out today. Cool! The header pipe was $50, plus I also got a new gasket and OBD connector. With shipping, total was $60. That amount is low enough that I'm not gonna argue about whether or not it should be warranteed. I'm still gonna weld my old one up and use it until the new one comes in. Should be a week, we'll see. Too bad the parts are only covered for 12mo/12000 miles. I do think that 2 years is too short a life for that part. But then again, my old waterboxer ate up exhausts, too. The key to long life on this new header will be NO tension and NO movement. I have a bracket/support idea that is worming it's way through my head. When it erupts, look out.
