David--

Based only on your description of the events, your actions, and subsequent events, the motor is now in heaven with Jesus and the little lambs and harps and clouds.

I'd look at a TIICO conversion if I were you.

BTW-- the oil pressure light is one which means "DO NOT DRIVE THIS VEHICLE AT ALL". This would have been a good occasion to have used a tow truck.

Traveling down the freeway my oil light comes on... with that annoying buzzzzzzzzz... I pull over add 2 quarts... oil light still does not go away... I drive hoping it will get some oil in there.. well needless to say all of the sudden there is this aweful grinding noise... I pull over and the van dies! ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

Well I try to start it up again and the starter tries its best to turn the engine but thats all I get... the engine wont turn at all....

I drained the oil.. (I found out I had quite a bit!) It was much thicker than usual especially since I changed it less than 3000 miles ago.

Soooooooo anyone have any suggestions on what I should try to get this engine going? Or is a transplant in order? (I dont know if this says anything but I checked the trans fluid and it was a bit darker than normal but not dark like engine oil)

Thanks a bunch in advance!

Ciao! David.... '91 Vana-Goner *doing the unstuck* 207K miles
