Ooh, speaking of which, I just got some LT195/75r14 Bridgestone Dueler ATs, $60/ea. at TireRack, and had them installed really quickly by Denver Tire for $45, and they have completely changed my Vanagon for the better.

It rained like hell here last night, so I went out and tooled around, and contrary to popular belief, they appear to be wonderful at highway speeds in the rain. Stiff as hell, they look good, they make the ride better, and most importantly, I don't feel like I'm falling off a cliff when I make a turn. I've heard they aren't worth a sh*t in the snow, but I can't wait to find out for myself.

The P.O. had Delta p195/75r14's on this vanagon, load range "B." I'm happy just to be alive after riding on those for six months.

Some people do state (in their post) that they have checked the archives but still have a question. I just did a search of the archives for "water wetter" since January 2002 and I got 25 hits just since Jan 2002 (the most recent being 02/09/19), so your suggestion about the information being 3 years old is NOT correct.

And yes, we are here to help each other, and for many of us the best "help" is for each of us to search the archives prior to posting a repetitive question. We see this with Tires ever 2 months. m2cw Malcolm
