Just thought I would pass this along.

I have begun to be plagued by a dis-integrating instrument housing on my 88 GL, Seems like every time I have to touch the thing another piece breaks off. Right now my speedo is hanging by two screws, the bosses for the other two have broken out. One of the corners whenre the housing mounts to the dash has also broken off.

I just talked to Camelback VW and a brand new instrument housing for the models that have tachs is $212.(List member price - if you live outside of Arizona) It comes only with the instrument light mounts. Nothing else. Thats it. You have to transfer every thing over.

Just for what it's worth.

John Rodgers, 88 GL Driver
