I'm having the same problem, but it's intermittant. Sometimes it works, sometimes it will drift down, catch at a lower level, or even kick out completely. I have inspected the hoses and bellows, looking for a vacuum leak and not found one

Not sure what you are referring to as the vac canister?

I would be really interested in hearing from anyone who has been able to fix this problem.
