I used syn in my '91 Westy w/auto tranny. Snappy and smooth performance, and
since I had it in the engine too, no initial sluggish running at startup in
cold weather...Salt Lake winters in the teens and 20's at times. I replaced
the strainer/filter with a new one and since I had the tranny pan off, I
cleaned everything up real spiffy before putting the new one in. Good thing
to do in my book and I'll do it in my current manual.
