 For what its worth, I'm certainly not the expert as I'm new to all of this, but I met a guy at the Busses by the Buoy gathering last weekend who has an '87 Vanagon and he said he only uses synthetic for his tranny and says it works great for his van.

the trans axle and swaped over to synthetic in it and was wondering about the
