I don't remember if an 86 GL has single lights or dual lights like my 88 GL. If it's dual lights, sounds like you have a bulb burned out. If single lights, one of th two internal elements is burned out in the bulb. In either case bulb replacement is the solution and its an easy fix. I think if a fuse was blown there would be no lights on either side.
