Hello All, i'm adding a tach to my '84 westy, using the instrument cluster from an '85. I've looked in the bentley at how both years hook up to the 14pin connector going into the flex PCB back there. It looks like for the '84, only 11 of the pins are called out, and on the '85, 12 of them are (the difference obviously being the tach). I've found matching components from the '84 in the '85 diagram, but what are these pins that aren't called out? 84: 14/1, 14/2, 14/12 (well, 12 is kinda called out, but i don't know what the component is) 85: 14/4, 14/12 Are they just ground? If so, which empty spot from the '84 should i make the tach (i mean, it'll be 14/9 on the new cluster, but which old "empty" pin should be used)? As always, your help is much appreciated, -damon (mechanical engineer, not electrical :-)
