Howdy,

Just picked up an '87 GL Westy and tho it drives perfectly I noticed a small puddle forming beneath the exhaust on the passanger side this morning. I could see a small drop fall every 30 seconds or so - and the puddle looked like the leak had been going on for about 4 or 5 hours. I parked the car in that spot atleast 12 hours before I noticed the leak I've never seen the leak before (and I've been pretty paranoid about checking for such.)

Anyways, I looked under the chassis and could see the water running down from what appears to be the RT side of the engine box but couldn't see if it was on the engine or its source. The water is clear, white water. The radiator overflow (next to the oil dipstick and oil pour in spout) is blue and appears at the same level it was the day before. I have run the A/C for all of 2 minutes in the last 2 days.

What the heck could it be? I did dump a little water out of the sink about 18 hours before I saw this drip - and refastened the sink drain cap (not to mention the distance water would have to run to get back there.) I had it washed 24 hours before I saw the leak but drove it 30 miles or so since so it can't have pooled up from washing.

I just can't figure it out. I'll take it in later this week to try and ID it - but I'm wondering if any other water sources run close to the enginebox other than the coolant.

Thanks
