This is a common remedy for overheating, and is probably only
dangerous in really cold climes.

It will slow your engine's warmup time, so the engine will run "cold"
for a longer period after cold-startup. This is unlikely to cause
harm unless the weather is very cold prolonged periods and the
vehicle is used frequently
