<html><div style='background-color:'><DIV> <P>I've replaced it, don't push it in, leave it flush. Make sure you get the tan one, not black. And remember to fill your torque converter with oil.</P> <P>&nbsp;</P> <P><BR><BR>&nbsp;</P></DIV> <DIV></DIV> <DIV></DIV> <DIV></DIV> <DIV></DIV>Hi, <DIV></DIV> <DIV></DIV>Has anyone out there replaced a torque converter seal in their automatic <DIV></DIV>transmission? I have my tranny pull and I'm putting the seal back in. <DIV></DIV>The seal seat is huge, it's about 1" deep and the seal is only about 1/2" <DIV></DIV>deep. Bently says to push the seal in as far as is will go. Is this <DIV></DIV>correct? <DIV></DIV> <DIV></DIV>Since there is so much extra room would it hurt to put an extra seal in <DIV></DIV>the additional space? Double sealing! I don't want to pull my tranny <DIV></DIV>again if this seal doesn't work perfect. Do these seals need to be <DIV></DIV>continually lubricated by the A/T fluid while the engine is running? If <DIV></DIV>so the second seal would just burn itself up. I would love to hear all <DIV></DIV>opinions. <DIV></DIV> <DIV></DIV>Thanks, <DIV></DIV> <DIV></DIV>Blake Heinlein <DIV></DIV>http://members.accessbee.com/heinlein/ <DIV></DIV>'84 Westy Automatic <DIV></DIV></div><br clear=all><hr>Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: <a href='http://g.msn.com/1HM1ENPR/c144??PS=47575'>Click Here</a><br></html>
