I have quick release mounts mounted on the backside of the fiberglass of my
Vanagon westy. They are easy to put the bikes on, and you can still open
the hatch to get stuff out of the back. The mounts are not that expensive.
(Under 30.00) I have no problems with leakage either. Of course they are
sealed, but in the five years I have had this van, I have had no problems.
