To all who have asked....the cost of the support kit when I bought it two years ago was $6.00. I think it is now $10. The kits is a dealership only item, and are still available through your VW dealership parts service. Be advised that you must take the front portion (the part over the windsheild) of the AC system (Fans etc) down in order to install the kit. It DOES NOT come with instructions.

The unit I had to give away is gone.
