Subject: Really Really Rich
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

My 89 vanagon is running real rich. I have a serious hole in the header pipes, but not bad enough to try to replace it before winter. When running driving the performance is very poor sputtering and spitting until I turn the ignition switch off and then immediately back on. It runs fine, for about a minute then degrades rapidly to sputtering and spitting. Could this be an oxygen sensor problem? Maybe somebody can identify the source of this problem. If not, is there a data base where I can search for possible solutions? tnx bc
