think in terms of two different metals with two different temperature response ranges. eventually they will be heated once too often. (way simplified), havent looked at the 84 computer diagram but in most VW from about 84 using digi computers the heat sensors are wired into the computer. that means they control fuel mixture. I am in the middle of a project of extracting an engine out of a 91 jetta which had basically the same digi in the vanagons. lots of sensors tied to the computer. jimt On Sunday, Sep 29, 2002, at 12:59 America/Denver, George Averill wrote:
