Hi List, sorry about the no vanagon content, but it's almost winter and my vanny is going into storage, and people on this list just know a lot of stuff...and i purchased a 2001 GTI VR6 with monsoon sound and maybe someone here has experience with that. It is stock cassette deck, no CD changer, and I have an appointment friday to get an aftermarket CD receiver installed. I have heard rumors that when you have a non-stock receiver, the VW dealerships will not plug the car into their equipment when it is taken in for scheduled service, does anyone know if this is true? And how hard is it, or what tools would I need to get the old cassette deck out and do the install myself? I have done it before but on my older VW's. thanks for any insight- Kim
