The boost enrichment aneroid fit underneath and did not touch the lid. The lid remained flat. It's close fit, but it worked. Regarding the oil return line, I just installed a fitting on the oil pan at or just above the oil level. Never had any problems with drainage. That was 10 years ago so I don't remember anything else.
