I am not an engineer, nor do I play one on TV. I was only putting out specs that I took the time to measure in order to give people an idea of the difference between the two radiators. I might imagine that two tubes are better than one. You might be a NASA engineer that spent the last twenty years discovering how one tube design is better. Please post your data to the list! All I am trying to do is give folks more info and then let them make their own decisions. If you want an aluminum radiator, the price is the same. I am not trying to rip anyone off or push something on them that they don't want. As far as the grinding off of the VW emblem, I was just posting my experience. If you have an experience that is different please post it. In any case these radiators come in an AKG box with an AKG sticker on them that says, "Made in Germany". The quality level looks just as good if not better than the VW ones that I have been getting that are made in South Africa. That is what I know. However the copper radiator has 43 rows but 86 tubes. I would imagine the latter would be more efficient." Or, in this case, is the definition of "imagine": to form a notion of without sufficient basis? <<As far as removing the name, I have only ever seen this done to remove VWs logo.>> Ken, you need to get out more. Specifically, go to any outlet which sells manufacturer's seconds and you will see brand names obliterated all over the place. George |
