Speaking of heat in an Air Cooled Westy. While tripping from Dallas to Albuquerque my Ice Chest fell over and canned soft drinks were rolling around on the rear floor. New Mexico isn't real big on Rest Stops so I just kept driving with the cans rolling towards me on down hill and back away from me on uphill runs. Finally one found a home near the rear heater outlet and exploded .................. sounded like a gunshot. Sure glad it was a Dr Pepper that exploded, after all those hills I wasn't in much of a mood for a Mountain Dew shower. Stan Wilder 83 Air Cooled Westfalia
