Didn't someone on list buy "The Island Hopper" Vanagon from Magnum P.I.? I recall it was up for sale a couple years ago, pretty cheap too, ($3k??) but was a little more raged that when T.C. drove it. She chose "Mac and Me" which seemed to be a spinoff of ET in that a poor little alien ended up on earth and befriended a nice family. The family/alien spent the entire show escaping authority by dashing around town in a beautiful brand-new silver vanagon (1987 model I think, maybe not??). They blazed down dirt roads and all. I'm sure the van was bought brand new for the show. Anyway, the movie is goofy but watching van was cool. scott 85 vanagon GL
