From (poor) memory, a litre (liter) of avgas weighs 710g (or is that 780g - as I said poor memory) - 1l of water weighs 1Kg

Given that mogas is just a lower grade of avgas, (ie just Gasoline) it is a reasonable baseline to work from.

so: 1USGal=3.8l, 3.8*.71=2.698Kg. At 2.2lbs to the Kg (2.698*2.2), 1USGal=5.9356lbs (ie 6lbs)
