Here's my experience........plastic/metal knob of the switch breaks off and there appears to be no switch at all. Feel right side edge (I think) and you will probably feel some jagged metal just barely protruding from the lamp housing. If there, this is what's left of your on/off switch. Slide it up and down. -John in Corvallis
