which were made from parts obtained where??? look at your made in america parts. made from parts obtained where?? or have you even checked and found out that made in america parts can be distorted statements because all pieces were made in america shipped to mexico to be assembled and the returned to the US as mexican products. or if a us company brings it back you find made in usa markings all over the item but in fine print on the label..assembled in mexico..anyone that can look at a mutipiece part and believe that it is all of one origin is a believer in santa claus and other impossible economic dreams. there are countries in the world that have a virtual lock on the production of parts of certain types. economics is why. germany does not produce enough of the different types of steel used in an auto industry to make all of the made in germany parts and the US industry doesnt either. there are a lot of smaller countries that export auto parts to the US and Germany and Britain and Japan. just one item, brake rotors. Venezuala, Canada, and China between them make 60 percent of the two major brake companies in the US.

bosch and hella, just two of vw major parts vendors, have plants in over 14 countries. these plants make small parts as well as larger units. jimt On Wednesday, Oct 2, 2002, at 06:45 America/Denver, George Goff wrote: \renewing a van.
