The list is being taken over by poor lawyers. Good lawyers would be too busy to spend their time writing rules manuals for an email list. Maybe when you get all your rules straight you should make everyone sign them in blood.

Yep, I agree with much of what you said. In fact, I teach many of these concepts of email etiquette to my students. However, some people are new to this. Some got their computers last week. Many are not computer literate enough to surf the archives. Some just can't be bothered, and some just don't like rules. I guess folks like that shouldn't be allowed to own a Vanagon?

Is there something about German cars that attracts Rules Nazis? Maybe you should work on the list dress code next. I'll bet some of these newbies have the nerve to post while wearing clothing made somewhere other than Germany or the USA. I can't even imagine where they bought their tools. Somebody needs to look into that.
