I havent had any troule with any gas company. I have used Amoco, Pilot, Speedway, Flying-J truck stop, Citco, BP, even Meijers grocery store. I cant tell the difference in any of them.

In my 82 air cooled, I have been using standard regular 87 octane with no ill effects. The only reason to use high octane (octane 92+) is if your vehicle requires it- either its rated for it or you get pinging when using regular. I get no pinging on mine using regular. Maybe try regular and see what happens.
