So one of my co-workers' fathers is one of the big wigs at chevron, and what i hear is that the gasoline compound itself is pretty much the same for all gas companies, it is the additives (detergents, FI cleaners, etc.) that are different. More $$$ might mean more clean... That is the theory, anyway. Octane should have nothing to do with it (just measures resistance pre-detonation) It is probably more economical just to add a bottle of fuel system cleaner to a tank of the cheap stuff ever 5k miles or so... -Damon
