AAaaahhhhhh    The perfect way to begin a post  :-)))

You may have found my suggestion in the  archives:  We cook up a
crock-pot (do a google.com search for 1,000+ recipes) and then we
freeze several 2 person portions.   Then, when we leave on a trip, we
put them in the cooler or in the  fridge.  They  thaw out over the next 2
or 3 days and it works very well.    No need to rely on canned goods.
