You are quite correct. But the Westfalias have a slight rearward bias and the diesel systems with rear battery probably have more than a 100 pound bias. So those extra 15 pounds represent a 0.2 to 0.3% trim or readjustment!

I've been insisting to the wife that the extra 40 pounds I'm carrying is really necessary for predictable neutral handling when I'm competing with the Westfalia on the circle track!
