hey gang-


my '86 Vanagon will randomly increase it's idle speed from time to time. it
likes to rest itself right around the 2500rpm mark and will stay there for
days and days, when suddenly, without notice, it will go back to around
850-1000 rpms without my doing anything.


I've changed the air cleaner on it thinking that it may have been something
to do with that, but I really don't know where I should start checking and
would love some advise.


anyone else out there have a clue?
