I appreciate Frank's candor on this subject.  I have recently returned to the list after a multi-year hiatus caused in no small part by one too many semi-annual "what's the right tire" discussions clogging up the mailbox.

But I would like to ask another favor.  Frank's somewhat lengthy post was requoted in full at least two times by respondents.  You'd have to be a digest subscriber to appreciate how annoying this can be.
