Ben:

Whatever the problem is mine sounds identical. I've been trying to resolve an overheating problem on uphill grads for some time. In addition (long before I had the overheating issue) When I drive up the long, uphill 5 mile road approaching my house the oil buzzer goes off like clockwork as soon as I crest the hill and pull into a smaller side road (rpm decrease). It ewill buzz until I put automatic trans in nuetral and rev the engine.

Also...If I cruise at about 55 and then decelerate to make a turn...it sometimes goes off. My engine (one I bought from VW) has @ 75K on it.I recently installed a VDO Oil Pressure Gauge...some Readings:

Start Up 55-60 psi At idle (warm)...low...like 8-10psi 30psi cruising at 50-55. At the crest of the 5 mile-uphill pressure drops to @ 20 psi as I crest...and the buzzer sounds...so it seems I have appropriate pressure.

Also...I had a new oil sensor switch installed awhile back... has not solved the issue.

Let me know what you find out.

kevin
