I just got some 185/65/r14 Yokahama Y356's from the tirerack. @$50 each they're significatly cheaper than the michelins (which I've heard nothing but good things about, I just didn't have the extra $$$)

I used to have old 205/70/r14's and compared to those the narrower tires arfe quieter and get better gas mileage. The old tires seemed to shift a lot making for slopply cornering. (or maybe they weren't rated for the loads the van puts on 'em in turns)

the 205's might have done better cushioning crosswinds, but the 185's do just fine as well...
