Maybe. My wife and I each have a nice SUV (inaddition to our '81 Westy and a couple of others), and we drive them off road if we feel like it. If they get scratched and beat a little, so what? That's what they are for, after all. Sure, a lot of people will be more interested in the other uses for the Sport Utility vehicles. SUVs, along with minivans (like our Vanagons) are the most versatile vehicles around. Kind of like the station wagons of old, and that's why you see so many SUVs and minivans on the road. Besides, the people who can afford the Porsche SUV can afford to not worry if they beat it up a little.
