I'd say that very few of us guys ever have our dream car so you're a
lucky guy.
I said goodbye to an L82 68 Corvette with a 365 hp 327 engine and I still
regret it, but $3000.00 a year for insurance was pretty stiff even in the
seventies when I had it.
I turned down one of those god awful looking Dodge Daytonas with the
extended nose and high rear spoiler because I didn't have storage room
............. the insurance company said there wasn't a single chance in
hell of getting it insured.
I sure don't have any of my dream cars right now.
I ran across an attorney that had a very nice Ferrari in his garage that
looked like new, turns out it was ten years old with about ten thousand
miles on it.
I inquired about it and he said that he could never drive it anywhere
that it had to be out of his sight.
Last time he and his wife drove it out to dinner the Valet parking guys
sat on the front fenders and did about $7000.00 in body damages and they
never even moved it from the spot that they told him to park it.
Nice things are just hard to keep nice.
