Subject:      Replacing steering rubber link with universal joint

Anyone tried replacing the rubber coupling in the steering column
with a splined universal joint? This would eliminate the possibility
of losing the steering (so many listees have reported looking and
discovering their couplings holding by a few strands) and also reduce
steering play hugely.

I am going to (eventually) look into this.
