All tires used at this "high speed" would degrade equally, I'd think. Low-profile tires will turn the same rpm at the same speed as a higher-profile tire, for the same application (ie, same outside diameter). I don't see why these "high-performance" tires would wear faster, unless of course they're made of a softer compound...
