To all who hate tearing apart the van just to get a jump... My wife has a BMW 525i and it has a battery stupidly mounted under the rear passenger seat. It is a pain to pull appart to get to it. The way BMW has taken care of that is put a HOT terminal post right in the engine compartiment. It is well insulated and isolated and easy to get to under the hood. If the car needs a jump it is simple to open the hood and attach the positive to the post and the negative to a good ground on the engine. Simple and well engineered by other Germans. Ah I wished I could clone the BMW engine into our vans, man would it be fast............. Now if we could do that through our little license plate door that would make it easier to jump start these vans with a failling battery. Joel 89 Syncro Westy Rochester NY.
