Volks,

Although I have not completed my evaluations of LCD TV's ... the EnVision Model EN 7500 Unit Bill has referrred to is one I'm looking at.

I noticed that .... CompUSA.COM has it on their web site TODAY for $579.99 after rebates.

Seems like a lot of LCD TV for the money.

The stand-alone LCD TVs I looked at (Bestbuy, etc.) were VERY costly ($1500). Costco is currently selling an Envision 17" TFD for $750 that has 450-1 contrast, and a built in tuner. It hooks to your computer, runs at 1280x1024, and also hooks to cable or composite video. It will put a TV picture PIP in a window on the desktop, or full screen, has speakers, and even has a remote. Nice unit -- I have been using it for a couple of months now. It connects to the 120v power with one of those power converters in the cord, and the power converter says the output is 12 VDC, so it would probably run from car power. Has a three year warranty.

Bill
