So i am in the process of upgrading my stereo so i have quality sound (what can i say? i like music!). Not too long ago, i replaced the stock speakers with a set of lower-end 4" clarion jobbers. Ok, but no richness of sound. Now i have a set of 4- 6" infinity 652s, and a pioneer GM-X354 amp. The clarions, per suggestion of the audio guy are getting capped with 20 microfarad capacitors to turn them into mids/tweets, letting the 6'ers make the real sound. So on to the questions:

1) best place to mount the 6'ers? Two are going in the lower panel of the doors (hole is already there, too late to move :-), but where to put the rear ones? I was thinking of mounting them in the "kick panel" under the rear seat, sacrificing a small bit of storage space down there. However, is there a better place? Make little boxes up high?

2) best place to mount the amp? I am actually going to see if it'll fit behind the glove box, as i want to save the under the driver's seat spot for possibly a cd changer in the future (that and convenient proximity to the head unit). Any problems with this setup? Not even 100% sure it'll fit yet.

After that, any tips you audiophiles have for a newbie like me on this kind of setup would be appreciated.

The van is turning into a pimpin' hippie (tm) bus :-)
