How are you determining actual speed? GPS or road signs? Your tires are the same diamter as the 215-70's Im using and my odometer still over-reads by almost 4%. The original tires rotated 830 RPMiles. Dennis

Someone was asking what the hiway RPMs were with the Michelin XCA (205/75R14 LRD) tires that are a larger diameter than the MXTs. (I noted that my speedometer now reads 3 mph slower than actual speed - my speedo is labeled 805 on the bottom) According to the sidewall of the tire they are rated at 2270lbs max load at 65psi. America's Tire company SKU 35838 Price $109 ea. Tires labeled "Made in France" Here are my ballpark observations of RPM at (corrected) speed. 1988 Vanagon Westfalia 2wd. Tires at about 50 psi. I could get more accurate readings if anyone is dying for more presision. As they are, I'd say +- 1mph. 65mph = 3660 70mph = 3800 75mph = 4100
