Here is another thought on that subject. I have tried both digest and regular subscriptions to the list, and I find that the digest version is much more cumbersome to use and takes much more of my time. With the individual emails, I can quickly delete the ones whose subjects don't interest me. There will be some I scan quickly, a few I read carefully, and maybe a couple a day that I reply to, either on the list or pmail. Handling the 100 or so messages from the list each day takes me maybe 10 minutes. It used to take longer when I got the digest mode, and replying was not so simple as with individual emails. I filter the list messages to a separate folder, also, so I don't have to read through them to read my other email. Bill |
