I have put a few more miles on the Digijet Euro ECU I got from Boston Bob and thought I would report in to the list. After a 500 mile round-trip to the Shenandoah National Park this weekend, I am still amazed at the hp gain using this new ECU. I am running a stock Boston Engine 1.9l with the new ECU, intial timing set at 5 BTDC and running regular gas. It was much easier to stay with the traffic flow. I did not have to anticipate upcoming hills. In this respect, it is much more driver friendly. No more 70+ mph runs at long hills to end up doing 50 mph at the top. The only downside is the mileage. On the same trip back in June, I averaged 21.5 mpg. This time 18.6 mpg. That is a major hit. I figure it cost me 3.5 more gallons, or about $5 to make the same trip. Is it worth it? I wouldn't go back to the old ECU. I can now pull out with confidence. I can zip from 55 to 75 if I need to. The mileage does seem to be better around town. I picked up about 1 mpg on several tanks I ran through going back and forth to work. Pulling off in 2nd gear seems more natural. I can upshift sooner. Third gear pulls much better. If you use your Vanagon as a daily commuter, I would certainly recommend it. I plan on tinkering with the AFM to see if I can recover some of the highway mileage. I have not done an emission test yet, either. Jay
