It seems the little boot between my '85 1.9 manual tranny's gearshift lever and selector lever is shot-- a crumbling mess. Question: how hard is this to replace? Also, it's probably been kaput for a while-- when replacing does one just wipe off any visible crud, gease, and call it a day? Or is it like bad CV boots, where you need to examine the joints down the line that have no doubt suffered from getting dirty? --Patrice 85GL "VanaBlue" |
