FWIW, I carry an entire fuel line kit from Vanagain in a "Store Stool" (a mini- stepping stool that has storage underneath). I carry it not only for myself, but in case I pass unfortunately souls like your self. FWIW, in more than one case, I've lent parts to people who were stranding or limping home (fuel filter, distributor cap, etc.).
