It was designed because Brazil banned imports of motorcycles to support the domestic industry, but they had no domestic motorcycle makers! Someone contracted with VW to provide engines and transaxles and built a motorcycle with them! As I recall the performance was terrible until the magazine doing the review took it to a vw performance shop and had some serious tuning done. Bill |
