Motor mounts from 1980-91 are the same. Easiest way is to jack the engine about 1/2" inch and look for tears, gaps. Any mount torn should be replaced. Poke them with a screwdriver, they should be firm, not soft. The front transmission rubber bushing should be very close to the center of the round mount. If it has dropped it can cause vibration and overload the rear mounts as it creates a lateral stress on the mounts. Its pretty simple procedure. The best way .............. If your mounts are five years old order a new set of inner and outer mounts. The set is about $45.00 from Bus Depot. In eight years I've replaced my mounts twice and am waiting for a set not to arrive. I go off road often and wild wheel spinning will decease the life as the wheel finds traction it overloads all the mounts.
