Hi all,

Thanks for all the interest in the van. Sounds like a lot of you talked to Alex about it. I made him promise to hold it for me if I was to make plans and come all the way there. He said someone had said that they would buy it from him, but since he had not heard from him for a while he would sell it to me. He also might have decided to sell to me as I lived relatively close by (300 miles) and was able to come down the next day. He was good to his word, as when I showed up the next day, he said someone had offered him 3k on his credit card sight unseen. He still sold it to me for $2100. He seemed like a very decent guy.

As for the van, I plan on putting another Subaru engine in it. Will be a good test comparison against my Tiico Westy. It is also the high top version as many people have asked. I will add a few photos to this Email for those who have asked.

As for all the Tiico bashing going on lately, I have over 20k on mine with only a few minor issues with the alternator/ compressor plate and alternator bolt. Exhaust and vibration problems have not been an issue so far. Now that I have said that, my exhaust will probably fall off on my way to work tomorrow :) .

Thanks again for everyones interest, encouragement, and helpful tips.

Happy Vanagoning,

John Andrew

P.S. I think I have come up for a name for the Adventurewagon. I think I will call him Beastie Boy. With those bumpers, 15" wheels, a few bumps and bruises, and that oil pan hanging between his back legs, it just seems to fit!
