I have little to add to Ken Wilford's detailed reply except to second his opinion that personally I too would just get the canvas over the acrylic, for the reasons that he mentioned. I'll also second his comment that sometimes the canvas does seem to install a litte bit tight, despite the manufacturer's claim that it is cut precisely to the same specs as the original.

As Ken said, there is but one major manufacturer of these canvases, so you'll get the same canvas no matter where you buy. However, unlike most vendors I generally keep plenty in stock, so delivery is usually pretty fast. (That is, in the canvas version. Allow an extra few days for acrylic.) Also, of course, I offer an 5% listmember discount not reflected on the website (for orders over $50, with some exclusions).

Incidentally, I know I have answered this question many times on the list. I suspect that somehow the search function wasn't working properly when you searched the archives. Or perhaps it timed out. A very broad search can take a painfully long time. I've found that sometimes it's better to break the search down into smaller chunks until you find what you're seeking (i.e. search a one year window at a time rather than all at once, or use very specific keywords).
