I replaced the poptop canvas in a 73 bus a couple of years ago. I purchased a canvas top from :

http://www.poptops.com/poptops.htm

I was pleased with the top; the material seemed to be adequate, the zippers were heavy, and it fit well. Not sure how it will hold up over time, but I have no reason to believe that it wouldnt.

The main thing is installing the canvas. This took me an entire weekend and required a great deal of patience. There are a few articles on the net detailing the procedure that I used as a guide. I borrowed a small air-powered staple gun that proved invaluable to the process.

good luck.
